<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bank bill discrimination device capable of surely discriminating an altered bank bill made by sticking genuine and counterfeit bills each other, even if the laminated part thereof is narrow. <P>SOLUTION: A bank bill discrimination device includes a plurality of detection rollers 14 and 15 extending along a first direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction of bank bills and parallel to the surface of a bank bill P. Both ends of a rotating shaft of each detection roller are fixed to brackets 14b and 15b, respectively. Bill-side end surfaces 14b1 and 15b1, which are bill-facing end surfaces of the brackets, are formed so as to be curvedly convex toward the surface of the bank bill. The bill-side end surface of a bracket with a detection roller fixed and the bill-side end surface of a bracket with another detection roller adjacent the detection roller fixed are connected by a flexible and abrasion resistant sheet-like member 22, which is in contact with the surface of the bank bill. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
