<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting apparatus that can prevent warping of a recording medium in a transportation direction when the recording medium is dried by blowing hot air. <P>SOLUTION: A printer includes a recording head which ejects ink to recording paper P that is transported from an upstream side to a downstream side for applying recording and a drying device 24 for drying the recording paper P by blowing hot air to a surface of the recording paper P to which ink is attached at a downstream position of the recording head in the transportation direction of the recording paper P. The drying device 24 is disposed along the direction of the width of the recording paper P, which intersects with the transportation direction thereof. Heat applied by first areas of a plurality of areas to the recording paper P which is divided into the plurality of areas in the width direction is different from heat applied by second areas, which are adjacent to the first areas in the width direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
