<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine by which drilling operation and fungus planting operation can be uniformly carried out for inoculation to a large number of bed logs with different diameters and which can move in an intermontane area. <P>SOLUTION: The bed log 14 is supported by a driving wheel 10 and a freely rotating wheel 13, Operating force in the peripheral direction of the bed log is intermittently transmitted to the driving wheel 10 by a kick pedal 8. The driving wheel 10 is always applied with a proper braking force by a gripping system and the intermittent driving is carried out aganst the braking force.
