A method for calculating scene fingerprint directions is disclosed, and the method includes: extracting an effective area in a fingerprint image; calculating a direction diagram of the effective area and confidence of each coordinate point in the effective area; according to the confidence of each coordinate point and a preset confidence threshold, dividing the direction diagram of the effective area into an area with high confidence and an area with low confidence; collecting control points in the area with high confidence, carrying out triangulations to the control points and determining the control points to be added to a set of control points by judging differences; manually marking control points in the area with low confidence on the direction diagram, adding the marked control points to the set of control points and carrying out triangulations; determining if it is needed to add new control points manually marked to the set of control points by judging the differences; and modeling the set of control points to obtain a scene fingerprint direction diagram. Further, a device for calculating scene fingerprint directions is also disclosed.
