<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile type programmable indicator capable of reducing damage to a display panel, a circuit board or a touch panel thereof caused by drop impact, impact when hitting a structure, or distortion of a housing. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile type programmable indicator comprises a front case 10 with an opening 13 formed therein, a panel buffer member 23 arranged so as to surround a circumference of a liquid crystal panel 24 and holding edge portions of the liquid crystal panel 24 interposed therebetween in a cross-sectional view, a panel holder 22 comprising a bottom frame 22a and a side wall 22b and a holder buffer member 4 held between a front face of the bottom frame 22a and an inner face of the front case 10 further outside of the touch panel 21. In the panel holder 22, the liquid crystal panel 24 and the panel buffer member 23 are mounted from a back side thereof and a peripheral part of a touch panel 21 is fastened at the front face of the bottom frame 22a.
