<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker in which its operating procedure is easy to understand and its operations can be simply performed. <P>SOLUTION: The heating cooker includes a body 1, an operation and display part 6 which resides at the front of the body 1, an auto cooking major division display group 6k which arranges a plurality of auto cooking major divisions in the operation and display part 6 in a matrix, a cooking method display part 6g which displays a cooking method in the vicinity of the auto cooking major division display group 6k, a dot matrix display part 6h which displays the contents of a selection or a setting in the vicinity of the cooking method display part 6g, and a dial 602 which resides at the right-hand edge of the operation and display part 6, selects a cooking menu or a cooking method by dial rotation, and sets its cooking output, cooking temperature, and cooking time.
