<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draining device of a water turbine for electric power generation capable of continuously draining stagnated water of an upper lid. <P>SOLUTION: The water turbine 8 includes a runner 8a provided inside a casing 81, a water turbine shaft 8b supporting the runner 8a, and an upper lid 8c provided above the runner 8a and storing flowing water leaking from a water seal part of the water turbine shaft 8b. The draining device 10 includes a tank 1, a drain tube 2, and a siphon tube 3. The tank 1 is disposed at a position sufficiently higher than the upper lid 8c, and stores a prescribed amount of water. The drain tube 2 is fed with water from the tank 1, and is provided with a drain opening 2b at a position sufficiently lower than the upper lid 8c. The siphon tube 3 has one end 3a in the vicinity of a bottom surface of the upper lid 8c and the other end 3b connected to an intermediate part of a path of the drain tube 2. The drain tube 2 includes an on-off valve 21 connected to an intermediate part of a path between the tank 1 and the connection part to the other end 3b of the siphon tube 3. The stored water of the upper lid 8c is continuously drained from the drain opening 2b by opening and closing the on-off valve 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
