<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus with which the abrasion of a cross head bearing, a crank pin bearing and a main bearing in a large-sized two cycle diesel engine. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for improving the monitoring of abrasion of bearing in a large-sized cycle diesel engine includes at least two sensors, which are arranged and constructed such that they measure the bottom dead points at a predetermined cylinder with respect to a fixed point of an engine. A controller of the apparatus receives signals from each sensor, compensates the respective signals according to the engine operation conditions, determines whether or not the threshold value is exceeded and generates index of the threshold value when the threshold value is exceeded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
