<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method of steel slag, capable of effectively using steel slag. <P>SOLUTION: In this treatment method of steel slag, the steel slag is crushed and then classified, and a highly iron-containing matter of a Fe<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>content of 40 mass% or more and a highly calcium-containing matter of a CaO content of 40 mass% or more are recovered. The highly iron-containing matter can be used as steel making raw material, raw material for cement clinker, and/or admixture for concrete.
