<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sintered compact, which produces a sintered compact having high sintered density, while controlling deterioration of a setter. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a sintered compact, includes: a forming step in which a composition containing metal powder and an organic binder is formed into a given shape so as to obtain a compact; and a baking step that is performed by using a baking furnace inside of which a setter (jig) containing SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>(silica) is provided to burn the compact and obtain a sintered compact. In the baking step, a furnace atmosphere of the baking furnace is set to be an atmosphere of inert gas, a furnace pressure is controlled to be 0.1 kPa or more but 100 kPa or less, and the furnace pressure during baking is increased at a time when the process is in the middle of heating-up. The increase in the furnace pressure is encouraged to be performed in a temperature range of 900-1,200°C of a furnace temperature. The furnace pressure is encouraged to be controlled to exceed 35 kPa from 35 kPa or less in response to the increase in the furnace pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
