<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a polymer which can reduce the amount of by-products formed in producing the polymer using a polymerization tank of a latent heat of evaporation-removing type. <P>SOLUTION: In the process for producing a polymer using a polymerization tank of a latent heat of evaporation-removing type, the distance G between a gas withdrawing outlet on the top portion of the polymerization vessel and the interface between the gas phase part and the liquid phase part is set at ≥H to ≤1.5 H, calculated by formula (1): H=u/117.61 [wherein H is the distance [m] and u is the superficial velocity [m/hr] of an evaporation gas in the stationary state]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
