<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical position finding device capable of detecting two-dimensional coordinates of an object with a small number of detecting light source units and equipment having a position finding function provided with the optical position finding device. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical position finding device 10, a first detecting light source unit 12A and a second detecting light source unit 12B emit detecting lights L2a and L2b from one side Y1 to the other side Y2 in the Y direction and detects with a light detecting unit 30 parts of the detecting lights L2a and L2b reflected by an object Ob positioned in a detection space 10R into which the detecting lights L2a and L2b are emitted. The first detecting light source unit 12A and the second detecting light source unit 12B are away from each other in the direction of the X axis and in the same position in the direction of the Y axis.
