<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator having excellent heat insulation performance and small power consumption by allowing enlargement of an occupying volume/area of vacuum heat insulation material to a refrigerator box. <P>SOLUTION: This refrigerator 8 includes heat insulation materials 7 and the vacuum heat insulation materials 1A, 1B in a heat insulation space 8s between an outer box 5 and an inner box 6.
