<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cock, particularly a so-called I-gas cock in which a gas inflow hole and a gas outflow hole are disposed on a straight line and which has a small gas flow resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The through hole 21 of a valve element 2 is elongated so that the length thereof in the direction of the axis L of a valve storage hole 11a is longer than the length thereof in the direction orthogonal to the axis L. A first gradually changed hole part 13c is formed at the downstream side end of the gas inlet hole 13. The cross sectional shape and dimension of the first gradually changed hole part 13c are gradually changed so as to approach the cross sectional shape and dimension of the through hole 21 toward the downstream side, and become the same cross sectional shape and dimension as the through hole 21 at the downstream side end edge. A second gradually changed hole part 14b is formed at the upstream side end of the gas outflow hole 14. The cross sectional shape and dimension of the second gradually changed hole part 14b are gradually changed so as to approach the cross sectional shape and dimension of the through hole 21 toward the upstream side, and become the same cross sectional shape and dimension of the through hole 21 at the upstream side end edge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
