SYSTEM FOR ONLINE PURCHASING USING PRINTED CODED FORM

A system for enabling online purchasing includes a printed form having printed thereon coded data distributed over an area, the coded data indicative of an identity of the form; a sensing device for sensing the coded data from the printed form, the sensing device containing data representing an identity of a user of the sensing device; and a computer system for receiving from the sensing device data containing the identity of the user and the identity of the form, and for identifying from the received data a purchasing transaction. The sensing device further includes: (a) an image sensor adapted to capture images of the coded data; and (b) a processor adapted to identify coded data from the captured images, determine an orientation, within the captured images, of the coded data; decode the coded data; and generate the data regarding the identity of the form using the decoded coded data.
