The invention pertains to compounds for detecting and imaging of apoptotic cell death in vitro and in vivo, as well as to a method for FACS detection, fluorescence microscopy and PET imaging of the progression or regression of a tumor in a patient after treatment. Furthermore, the invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions, comprising such compounds, precursors suitable for obtaining them, methods for obtaining them and to a kit for detecting and imaging of apoptotic cell death.
