The radial pump (1) has a rotatable impeller in a housing (3), where a shut-off is directly or indirectly connected to a pressure chamber through a control valve. A pressure source is formed by a pumping element which is torsionally connected with the impeller. The pressure source is a positive displacement pump, where the pumping element is designed as a generated rotor.
