Use: To produce a noiseless and flashless firearm. Essence: The pusher which pushes the bullet out of the gun barrel is made of a magnetorheological fluid which is capable of increasing its viscosity in a magnetic field until it is completely solidified and of reassuming its liquid properties when the magnetic field is switched off. The propellant gases are sealed as a result of the solidified magentorheological fluid mechanically closing the barrel channel. By controlling the amount of time that the magnetorheological fluid is in a solidified state, it is possible to contain the propellant gases in the barrel channel for the time required for the automatic reloading of the gun. Technical advantages: The proposed method for sealing propellant gases provides for an increased scope of use because it can be used in semi-automatic and long-barrel guns.
