<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a mapping of an optimal font according to a document. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic font mapping is executed for one or a plurality of document fonts in a subject document. The one or the plurality of the document fonts are mapped with at least one replacement fonts. A font mapping is restricted by at least one document specific font mapping restriction and a document is rendered by at least one replacement font. The automatic font mapping executes a constrained optimization with an object function to measure a similarity between the one or the plurality of the document fonts and at least one corresponding mapped replacement font. The constrained optimization is restricted by the at least one document specific font mapping restriction. Based on the constraint, the automatic font mapping selects a subset of a font set available for a rendering and executes the optimization for each of the selected subset of the font set available for the rendering. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
