<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display system enabling a user to view video and listen to audio by various means. <P>SOLUTION: A video display system comprises a video display apparatus 10 and a portable video display apparatus 50, which are connected to each other for communication. The video display apparatus 10 generates video data for own apparatus and audio data for own apparatus which are to be displayed and reproduced by the video display apparatus, displays the generated video data for own apparatus as well as reproduces the generated audio data for own apparatus, encodes the generated video data for own apparatus and audio data for own apparatus into a data format capable of being processed by the portable video display apparatus 50 to generate video data for another apparatus and audio data for another apparatus, and transmits the generated data for another apparatus to the portable video display apparatus 50. The portable video display apparatus 50 receives the video data and audio data for another apparatus transmitted, and decodes and displays the video data for another apparatus as well as decodes and reproduces the audio data for another apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
