<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discomfort degree estimation device capable of objectively estimating discomfort degrees, which gives a viewer unpleasant feeling due to frequent change of brightness values, based on the brightness values. <P>SOLUTION: A discomfort degree estimation device 1 comprises: a block brightness value calculating section 10 for calculating a block brightness value; a block-classified brightness inversion frequency measuring section 30 for measuring a brightness inversion frequency based on the block brightness value; a block-classified discomfort degree calculating section 40 for calculating a discomfort degree based on the of brightness inversion frequency; a discomfort degree calculating section 50 for calculating a discomfort degree based on the block-classified discomfort degree; and a discomfort degree compensation section 60 for compensating the discomfort degree by adding a preceding discomfort degree multiplied by a constant to a current discomfort degree, the block-classified brightness inversion frequency measuring section 30 measuring a brightness inversion frequency for each ratio of maximum and minimum block brightness values to one time of brightness inversion, the block-classified discomfort degree calculating section 40 calculates a block-classified discomfort degree based on the plural measured brightness inversion frequencies. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
