PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein foreign matter such as dust and paper powder in the air enter an atmosphere opening path by performing an atmosphere opening operation, and attaches to a sealing surface between an valve body and a valve seat, which degrades the sealability, and thereby allows a small amount of air to mix in a storage container. SOLUTION: A liquid container is provided with an atmosphere opening mechanism 132 for opening and closing an atmosphere opening hole 131 to open the inside of a container body 101 to the atmosphere. In its inside the atmosphere opening mechanism 132 is provided with: a packing member 154; a ball 155 arranged to be brought into contact with or separated from the packing member 154, and can be moved from outside; a foreign matter settling space 161 for trapping the foreign matter, which is arranged between an atmosphere side bulkhead 155b being on an atmosphere side from the ball 155, and a flange 155c for pressing the packing member 154; and an electrostatic body 162 which is arranged in the foreign matter settling space 161 and electrostatically attracts the foreign matter as a foreign matter trapping means.
