PURPOSE: A system for controlling a broadcasting receiver using a mobile terminal an agent server and a method thereof are provided to transfer a remote controller key value without the deterioration of a signal by the angle or the distance to the broadcasting receiver. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal receives an identifier of a broadcasting receiving device(S502). The mobile terminal acquires a remote control key value(S504). The mobile terminal transmits the remote controller key value and the broadcasting receiver identifier to an agent server(S506). The agent server searches the broadcasting receiver(S508). The agent server transmits the remote controller key value to the searched broadcasting receiving device(S510).
