<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit making assembly and management of a light emitting assembly easy furthermore by providing a plurality of light emitting assemblies and also capable of controlling an amount of a current applied to a light emitting element module so as to make brightness of light appearing on a screen uniform throughout the entire screen. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight unit includes: a bottom cover 110; a plurality of light emitting assemblies 10, each of which has a light emitting element module 13 including at least one light source, and which are arranged on the bottom cover 110 adjacent to one another; a power supply unit 112 supplying power to the light emitting element module 13 in each of the light emitting assemblies 10; and a control unit 111 controlling the power supply unit 112 such that, of the light emitting element modules 13 of each of the light emitting assemblies 10, an amount of a current applied to a light emitting element positioned at an outside region of each of the light emitting assemblies 10 is different from an amount of a current applied to a light emitting element positioned at a central region of each of the light emitting assemblies 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
