<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink capable of giving high printing quality and having excellent fixability and discharge stability. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous ink includes a dispersion in which a colorant is made dispersible in water by encapsulating the colorant with a polymer that contains an aromatic ring of ≥20 wt.% and ≤70 wt.% based on the weight of the polymer, further the ink contains a compound expressed by the formula, wherein the molar percentage ratio of EO to Si (EO/Si) is preferable to be 0.8-1.5, R is a divalent organic radical, PO is propyleneoxy, EO is ethyleneoxy, and x, y, a, and b are each number of repeating units, namely x is 1-200, y is 1-50, a is 1-30, and b is 0-20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
