<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability by avoiding execution of check for checking the operation of a storing means each time when the storing means for storing recording agent are changed one by one. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus includes a plurality of storing means for storing a recording material. The printing apparatus can detect that a door to be opened for changing the storing means is closed, and counting the number of the determination that the storing means is changed after it is determined that the amount of the recording agent is insufficient in one or a plurality of storing means. Further, the printing apparatus compares the number of one or a plurality of storing means which determined that the amount of the recording agent therein is insufficient with the number of the changes of the storing means, and executes the check of checking the operation of the storing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
