<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slope detection method and a slope detection device where slope detection accuracy is improved and cost is reduced by not holding map information. <P>SOLUTION: A slope detection method includes: an altitude calculation process of calculating an altitude value H for each time a mobile body C travels a predetermined unit travel distance based on an air pressure data P acquired by an air pressure sensor 3; an acceleration calculation process of calculating an acceleration Ga of travel direction component of the mobile body C of a gravitational acceleration G based on an acceleration Gc applied to the mobile body C in the travel direction of the mobile body C acquired by an acceleration sensor 14; and a slope determination process of determining that the traveling road surface is a slope based on both a variation A of the altitude calculated from the altitude value H in the altitude calculation process and the acceleration Ga of the travel direction component of the mobile body C of the gravitational acceleration G. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
