<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power cable for a power-assisted bicycle suitable for use in cold areas. <P>SOLUTION: The power cable is arranged between an electric motor and a battery for a power-assisted bicycle. The power cable includes: a paired stranded core 10 formed by stranding a pair of insulating core wires 3a, 3b which have insulators 2a, 2b formed of polyethylene cross-linked with electron beam irradiation on stranded wire conductors 1a, 1b formed of annealed copper wires each having a diameter of 0.06-0.10 mm, respectively: a first coat 20 fully provided on the outer periphery thereof and formed of a black polyvinyl chloride resin having cold resistance of -25°C or lower, a tensile strength of 17.0 MPa or higher, an elongation of 350% or more and a 100% modulus of 12 MPa or lower according to JIS K 6723; and a second coat 30 provided on the outermost layer and formed of a polyurethane resin having a low-temperature brittle temperature of -60°C or lower according to JIS K 6301, and a tensile strength of 40 MPa or higher, an elongation of 450% or more and a 100% modulus of 5.0 MPa or lower according to JIS K 7311. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
