<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device which produces a fake dog barking sound at intervals periodically or randomly changed only from a speaker of a master unit installed indoors in response to a call from a slave unit instead of producing a dog barking sound from a speaker of the slave unit or an outdoor speaker, with the aim to resolve the problem that resident's absence is no less discernible in the case where an alarm system having an outdoor speaker in addition to a master unit installed indoors and a slave unit installed outdoors produces a fake dog barking sound from the outdoor speaker in response to a call from the slave unit when no one is at home than in the case where the slave unit emits a message "No one is at home." <P>SOLUTION: The alarm device is incorporated in an intercom device which enables a conversation between its master unit installed indoors and its slave unit installed outdoors, and produces a dog barking sound changing periodically the duration and intervals from the speaker of the master unit in response to each call from the slave unit in an absence mode without producing the dog barking sound from the speaker of the slave unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
