<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus that can prevent power from being consumed more than necessary in video signal processing due to applying image processing to an unfocused region, where a camera is not focused, with the same accuracy as that of image processing applied to a focused region, in the case where the unfocused region exists. <P>SOLUTION: If a region where camera is not focused exists, an unfocused region where it is not focused is considered to be a region where a viewer does not watch. A video processing apparatus detects such a region, and controls an image processing performance, for example, reduces a processing bit number of video signals, in accordance with a degree of unfocusing for the detected region, thereby reducing power required for a circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
