<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost and energy saving rotary type display device having a power generator in a rotary display part, removing consumable parts such as a slip ring and brush for receiving power supply and transmitted signals from outside and, improving productivity and reliability, lengthening life spans, and displaying characters and images using an afterimage effect of a human's visual sense to reduce the number of LEDs to a large extent. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary type display device comprise a rotary body having an electromagnetic induction type motor power generator, an electronic circuit part and a display part, and a motor part for making the rotary body rotate at a predetermined fixed rotational frequency. The power generator generates electricity by rotation to supply power to the electronic circuit part and the display part. The display part has a plurality of light emitting devices, which are arranged in a line in a radial direction at one rotational surface of the rotary body. The electronic circuit part has a reference rotational position detection means, a lighting pattern storage means for storing lighting patterns for each rotational position, and a display control means. The lighting of the plurality of light emitting devices in the display part are controlled based on the reference rotational position and the lighting pattern storage value of each rotational position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
