<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a transmitting technique for an ultrasonic wave which suppresses the destruction and detection of bubbles. <P>SOLUTION: For the formation of a contrast image, a normal transmitting waveform of (I) is used. The normal transmitting waveform has a size in which the amplitude on the positive side and the amplitude on the negative side are approximately the same. On the contrary, for the formation of a fundamental image, a deformed transmitting waveform of (II) is used. In the deformed transmitting waveform, the amplitude on the negative side is smaller than the amplitude on the positive side. The normal transmitting waveform is suitable for making a harmonic wave generated from bubbles by vibrating the bubbles. In the meantime, the deformed transmitting waveform is suitable for obtaining a fundamental wave from tissues which are present around the bubbles by suppressing the vibration of the bubbles and the generation of the harmonic wave as much as possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
