<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball machine which has a plurality of priority degrees even in one game state by intentionally changing the operation factor of a special symbol relating to an ordinary electrically-driven gimmick even during performing an opening extension function advantageous for a player. <P>SOLUTION: When a game is in a state where the opening extension function and a probability variation function can operate, a variation pattern table corresponding to the game state is set to a variation pattern table for determining the variation pattern of a first special symbol, and a special variation pattern table where the average variation time is shorter than that of other variation tables is set to the variation table of a second special symbol.
