<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a tumor using a bench-type nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A method for detecting a tumor according to the present invention includes the steps of: (1) picking a tissue sample of a patient in a small amount; (2) putting the tissue sample into a non-magnetic container; (3) putting the tissue sample into a bench-type NMR based on a high temperature SQUID; (4) analyzing the tissue sample in a micro-tesla magnetic field; (5) obtaining the T<SB POS="POST">1</SB><SP POS="POST">-1</SP>value of the tissue sample; (6) comparing the T<SB POS="POST">1</SB><SP POS="POST">-1</SP>value of the tissue sample with the T<SB POS="POST">1</SB><SP POS="POST">-1</SP>value of normal tissue of the same kind as the kind of the tissue sample; (7) comparing the T<SB POS="POST">1</SB><SP POS="POST">-1</SP>value of the tissue sample with the average T<SB POS="POST">1</SB><SP POS="POST">-1</SP>value of tumor tissue of the same kind as the kind of the tissue sample; and (8) determining that the patient has cancer if the T<SB POS="POST">1</SB><SP POS="POST">-1</SP>value of the tissue sample is close to the average T<SB POS="POST">1</SB><SP POS="POST">-1</SP>value of the tumor tissue and determining that the patient has not cancer if the T<SB POS="POST">1</SB><SP POS="POST">-1</SP>value of the tissue sample is close to the average T<SB POS="POST">1</SB><SP POS="POST">-1</SP>value of the normal tissue. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
