A method and machine for molding plastic foam products with inserts (4), and which, after setting up two half-molds (8, 9) with respective seats (15) arranged in an orderly configuration to removably house respective inserts (4), perform a loading step to load a given number of inserts (4) into respective seats (15) of one of the two half -molds (8, 9) in an open position, a molding step, and an unloading step to unload the molded products (2); the loading step including a sub- step of prearranging the inserts (4) in the orderly configuration on a layout plate (23) outside the half- molds (8, 9); a sub-step of removing all the prearranged inserts (4) simultaneously off the layout plate (23); and a sub-step of transferring all the prearranged inserts (4) simultaneously to the respective seats (15). |
