COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, ACCESS CONTROL ENTITY AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ACCESS OF USER EQUIPMENT

A communication system, an access control entity and a method for controlling User Equipment (UE) access are disclosed. The present invention relates to communication technologies and aims to improve network security. The method includes: receiving an access request from a UE which depends on access control exercised by a core network; exercising access control on the UE if no core network capable of exercising access control can be selected for the UE; and sending a connection request to the core network if a core network capable of exercising access control can be selected for the UE. The technical solutions of the present invention are widely applicable to communication systems such as Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) and Long Term Evolution (LTE).
