PURPOSE: A positive electrode active material is provided to ensure excellent high voltage performance and thermal stability since the interfacial stability with electrolyte is improved. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery is such that a polymer enabling chemically crosslinked lithium ion transfer. The polymer comprises one or more functional groups selected from imide, acrylate, urethane, urea, ether, ester, amide, sulfoxide, and epoxy. A method for preparing the positive electrode active material comprises the steps of: (i) introducing the coating layer of the polymer to the surface of the positive electrode active material; and (ii) chemically cross-linking the coating layer. |
