PURPOSE: A backlight unit is provided to be driven by a local dimming. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of light emitting element packages(100a,100b) embeds the air layer and has a light emission unit which emits the light through the air layer. A light guiding plate(200) coverts the plurality of light emitting element packages and transmits the light which is totally reflected inside. A total-reflect cancellation unit(211,212,213) emits the light to an upper part by cancelling the total reflection of the light which is transmitted to the light guiding plate. |
