An electronic display module, in particular an electronic shelf label that can be used in a retail environment, comprises an LCD display screen 14 that is used to display visual images under the control of an electronic processor or display screen driver. A bracket 8a, 8b is used to mount the display screen 14 at the edge of a shelf. The display may be powered by an internal battery or it may be connectable to an external power supply. A memory is provided for storing visual image data and the display may be able to read data from a memory card, e.g. SD card. A sensor may be provided so that images are displayed in response to the sensor detecting the presence of a person in the vicinity of the display. The display is preferably mounted to a support frame with the display driver located in an enclosure part 6 of the support frame and the support frame is formed integrally with the bracket. Magnets 10 may be provided to secure the display to the underside of a shelf. |
