Control material for nucleic acid tests

Composition used as a control material for the determination of nucleic acid containing fixed cells of at least one isolated cell line in an embedding medium, is claimed. The stabilized nucleic acid molecules of at least one of the species are included in the embedding medium. An independent claim is also included for preparing the composition, comprising (i) mixing a suspension of cells of at least one isolated cell line with stabilized nucleic acid molecules of at least one of the species to obtain a cell-nucleic acid molecule mixture, (ii) fixing the cell-nucleic acid molecule mixture, and (iii) embedding the cell-nucleic acid molecule mixture in an embedding medium.
