PURPOSE: An acid anhydride-based compound is provided to ensure excellent bleaching activity and to enable the application as a bleaching activator to a bleach composition containing inorganic peroxide. CONSTITUTION: An acid anhydride-based compound is represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R is selected from the group consisting of linear or branched C5-15 alkyl, C5-15 alkenyl and a mixture thereof; and M is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkali metal, ammonium and the same equivalent of alkaline earth metal. A method for preparing the acid anhydride-based compound comprises the steps of: (i) sulfonating acrylate with sodium bisulfate; and (ii) reacting the compound prepared in step (i) with acyl chloride.
