<p>PURPOSE: A cellulose ether composition for drying mortar formulations is provided to improve the slip resistance of the drying mortar formulations and to maintain the mechanical intensity and the open-time of cured drying mortar formulations. CONSTITUTION: A cellulose ether composition for drying mortar formulations includes (meth)acrylic polymer and cellulose ether. The content of the (meth)acrylic polymer is 0.05 to 20% based on the weight of cellulose ether. The (meth)acrylic polymer includes (meth)acrylic acid and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing a polyalkylene oxide unit. The cellulose ether is selected from a group including alkyl cellulose, hydroxyalkyl cellulose, alkylhydroxy alkyl cellulose, or the mixture of two or more of cellulose derivatives. A modified drying mortar formulation includes a standard drying mortar formulation and a composition for modifying the drying mortar formulations.</p> |
