The method involves conveying objects into a container (3) using a conveying unit at conveying speed, and emptying the container after filling the container with the objects. The filled container is exchanged by an empty container, and the objects are buffered in the conveying unit by changing the conveying speed during exchanging of the filled container by the empty container, where conveyor belts (4a, 4b) are provided as the conveying unit. The conveyor belts are arranged at right angle to each other. An independent claim is also included for a device for conveying pressed objects comprising a shearing and compacting press.
