FUEL PUMP TAPPET/ROLLER FOLLOWER LUBRICATION

PURPOSE: A cylinder head and a method for lubricating the orifice of a fuel pump tappet/a roller follower are provided to discharge oil to be far away from an orifice by locating a fuel pump on the top of the cylinder head. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder head comprises a cam, a tappet/roller follower, a cylinder head body, an interface surface, and a dam(30). The tappet/roller follower is connected to a fuel pump. The cylinder head body comprises a surface(34) having an orifice(18) for the tappet/roller follower. The interface surface is formed by a part of the cylinder head body. The dam has a reservoir.
