The invention relates to a device for a box cover, which comprises a plate for supporting a blank piece and a box, a die capable of moving vertically and operable to be matched and arranged in the box so as to vertically move the box from a folding station to a turnover station, a plurality of fixed contact pieces positioned at the folding station so as to interact with the box when the box moves downward and enable each segment of the blank piece to be folded up from a horizontal position to a vertical position, a plurality of movable folding pieces for stopping corresponding wings so as to enable the wings to be folded up from a vertical position to a horizontal position and a plurality of actuators and control units. The plurality of actuators are connected with the respective folding piece so as to selectively move the respective folding piece. The control units are connected with the actuators so as to actuate the subset of the plurality of folding pieces formed by one or more discontinuous folding pieces and fold the respective subset. A method of covering the box is also disclosed in the invention. |
