AN ULTRASOUND PROBE HAVING LENS COVER WITH FLAT PLANE

PURPOSE: An ultrasound probe having a lens cover with a flat plane is provided to implement exact ultrasonic image by installing a concave lens of epoxy in the lower part of a lens cover. CONSTITUTION: In an ultrasound probe having a lens cover with a flat plane, a piezoelectric layer(100) performs mutual conversion between an electrical signal and an acoustic signal. A match layer(200) reduces acoustic impedance difference between the piezoelectric layer and a body. A sound absorption layer(300) blocks the progression of ultrasonic wave in rear part of the piezoelectric layer. A lens cover(500) has a protruded curve at the center.
