FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: sonar probing of the bottom is additionally carried out using a sonar sensor and/or surveying echosounder placed at different depth horizons from ship-borne hydroacoustic apparatus with possibility of movement thereof in the vertical and horizontal plane via sector scanning with scanning of directional characteristics in radiation mode of a parametric antenna with reception of reflected signals with an antenna of the same dimensions as the excitation antenna of the parametric antenna, wherein the width of the directional characteristic in reception mode is greater than the value of the angle of view, and the scanning plane of the antenna deviates from the vertical location position by an angle of 15 degrees towards the side of movement of the ship.
