FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: direction finding method involves coherent reception of radio signals using a thin ring antenna array with radius R, for which unambiguity of phase resolution is achieved in a given range at a defined condition. The obtained preliminary unambiguous estimates are corrected based on the initial received signals, which potentially ensure higher accuracy due to a large radius and absence of mutual inter-channel noise correlations. The main relationships for bearing measurement in the disclosed method are obtained on the assumption of the presence of a central element in the array. The disclosed method realises a version of applying a multi-scale principle of measurement, in which a virtual array ensures phase unambiguity, while the real array ensures measurement accuracy. ^ EFFECT: high accuracy and rate of direction finding, cutting on time for direction. ^ 2 cl, 3 dwg |
