FIELD: construction. ^ SUBSTANCE: method to determine blocking property of deicing materials in the form of sand and salt mixtures includes forming samples under action of static load in cylindrical die moulds with a perforated piston and a bottom. Then formed samples are cured and dried at the temperature of 48-55C to permanent mass. Samples are surveyed for damage by application of a damaging load, and the results are used to determine the blocking property of the material. At the same time previously the real conditions are developed to form blocking property of the deicing material in the form of a sand and salt mixture using cylindrical die moulds with holes of 2 mm in diameter in their side walls for optimisation of moisture exchange with environment at relative humidity of more than 90%. Besides, the samples of deicing material in the form of a sand and salt mixture are cured for 72 hours at 15-25C, at the same time damaging dynamic load is applied to samples with an impact action of a ball with weight of 350 g at height of 45 cm. Blocking property of deicing material in the form of a salt and sand mixture is determined by the established index of blocking property, which is identified from the expression where is the index of the blocking property, %; Msample - mass of the dried sample after forming, g; Mpiece - mass of sample pieces going through a sieve with cell size of 10 mm, g, assessing it by the following levels of blocking property: - high level of blocking property of more than 5%; - medium level of blocking property from 3% to 5%; - low level of blocking property of less than 3%. ^ EFFECT: provides for the possibility of objective assessment of blocking property of the deicing material in the form of a sand and salt mixture with account of exposure of the blocking process to nature and climate factors and storage conditions, sand grain size and amount of dust-like and clay parties, with account of dynamic action during damage of blocked salt and sand mixture. ^ 1 tbl, 5 dwg |
