摘要 <p>Provided is a liquid crystal display device which can prevent light from leaking through a periphery of a non-selected pixel in order to enhance a contrast without reducing an aperture ratio of the pixel. The liquid crystal display device (1) comprises first and second transparent substrates (5a, 5b) which are opposed to each other with a predetermined space therebetween; a liquid crystal layer (8) arranged between opposed surfaces of the first and second transparent substrates (5a, 5b); first belt-like transparent electrodes (3a) formed in a stripe pattern on the surface of the first transparent substrate (5a) that is located opposite the second transparent substrate (5b); a transparent resin film (22) which is formed after a stripe pattern of black masks (21) is formed on the surface of the second transparent substrate (5b) opposed to the first transparent substrate (5a) in a direction perpendicular to the first belt-like transparent electrodes (3a), said transparent resin film being provided with inverted-trapezoid shaped recesses (22a) formed in the film surface portions corresponding to portions between the black masks (21); and second transparent electrodes (30b) having an inverted-trapezoidal shape and formed in the recesses (22a) of the resin film (22).</p>
